This August, we bring to you a brand new style of doing yoga.

If you love dance, you will love this!

If you want to feel your body in new way, you will love this!

If you love music playing an integral (instead of background) part to your practice, you will love this!

Be the first to practice Gyrokinesis in this special workshop, designed to introduce the you to this new method, and to launch the class to our studio. In this workshop, you will be the first to try this new style, exclusive to FYC.

Gyrokinesis is a new way to move your body, combining elements of yoga, dance and tai-chi.

Brought to you by Christine, an ex-professional ballerina, this is a “yoga for dancers” suited to everyone, with or without dance experience, and for all age groups.

In this practical workshop, you will learn about the history of Gyrokinesis, and be introduced to the practice itself,  beginning  with self-massage to release tension and awaken the senses. You will then be led to do  slow, fluid movements seated on stools, followed by a series of standing or floor exercises.

The breathing and movements flow together, freeing up tension and resulting in a feeling of rejuvenation, increased vitality and well-being.

Choreographed to music, the workshop will be both flowing and gentle.
